BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Marjorie Dixon is a Royal College Board-Certified Fertility Specialist, with specialization in difficult reproductive endocrine cases including polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), reproductive aging, hypothalamic problems, thyroid disease and endometriosis as well as general gynecology and surgeries. Apart from working at our Toronto Surgical Centre, she co-founded First Steps Fertility.She received her Medical Doctorate (MD) in 1997 from McGill University, followed by the completion of her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, OBGYN in 2002 from the University of Toronto. Her passion for reproductive medicine continued during her postgraduate training with a 3 year subspecialty, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology accredited fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont.Dr. Dixon is often asked to comment on newsworthy topics related to women’s health in the media. She appears monthly on Cityline as a part of their trusted group of experts often speaking to her responsibility and champion of women’s health and reproductive well-being. To further patient education on women’s health issues, Dr. Dixon developed a free iPhone app called IVF4U, which includes a free fertility tracker to help patients keep track of essential information related to their cycles and fertility treatments in a convenient, secure way.
